Senseless joy in every disaster
Separates my ego from my mind

Delve into repression
And sanctify your soul
Lapse into aggression
Abandon all control

Drowning in a sea of emotion
Sinking past the point of no return
And yet I find in me
A voice that summons my soul
Tempting though it may be to follow
Silence is my only hope at all
And yet I find in me
A voice condemning my soul

I see the world as an image of myself
A core of violence and hatred encased in a shell of hypocrisy
Have I no place in such a world that birthed my ways?
Am I truly an evil in such a world, or merely a manifestation of the world’s hate?
