Such a useless fantasy
The thought of someone truly loving me
A pathetic waste of energy
My life consumed by love’s futility
My heart raped by reality
A life of solitary strands of modesty
Abandoned by hostility
My fear preventing love’s atrocities

Can’t understand
My heart’s lone desire
Can’t comprehend
It pulls at my soul
Fading away
The dream of desire
Coming to terms
With love’s abandonment

The crushing depths of misery
Seem to be all that encompass me
The faded hopes of sanity
Stand in circles, facing, haunting me
Attempts to write this poetry
I come face to face with honesty
But humility is blinding me
To my innate inborn hypocrisy

I must control!
